Lax with Love

Growing up on the east coast our family was surrounded by the sport of lacrosse. We played the sport at an early age, became officials in our early teens and continue to volunteer helping others learn the game. However, we still wanted to give back to the sport and the Barrington community we love. In 2022, Lax with Love was born. Myself, a BHS 2022 graduate, and sister who will graduate in 2025, came together to establish Lax with Love. Our goal was to design a t-shirt that we would sell to the lacrosse community (high school and youth programs). The t-shirts would be sold at a low cost ($5) to players, spectators, parents, friends and feeder programs. Every year we would pick a local Barrington non-profit organization to give ALL our proceeds to them. At the end of our selling period we take a large group picture and invite our charity leaders to attend the photo and join us on the field for a Charity Stick Swap Game. The game consists of our BHS high school lacrosse players from both teams. They exchange sticks (boys use girls, girls use boys) and play a fun game all in the name of charity. To date, we have had the pleasure of providing financial assistance to Campus Life, BStrong Barrington, and Soul Harbour Ranch.
