Lazy Help

Lazy Help is a charitable crypto-fundraising app that harnesses two unlimited resources: human laziness and our desire to help those in need. It does so through crypto-mining. Our app passively mines cryptocurrency on users' devices (either via web browser or our desktop application) and sends it to charities of their choice. It does so without impacting their user experience and with minimal energy consumption. USER The app only mines when the device is not in use and connected to electricity. This eliminates issues from impaired performance and battery drain. TECHNOLOGY & ENERGY The application uses idle device periods, which already consume energy just by being turned on. Only a small part of the device's performance is used for mining cryptocurrency, so as not to cause overheating and thus increase electricity consumption from cooling. ECOLOGY This environmentally-friendly approach has helped The Lazy Help application stand out, not only among charitable crypto-fundraising initiatives, but throughout the crypto world as well. ROADMAP Kick-Off We started in March 2018 and soon managed to create a functional prototype. Marketing Our primary goal has been to bring uses to our product. For that reason, we created a viable brand, visual style, and communication strategy. Version 2.0 A milestone was the participation in Hack Prague 2018. Our app was able to change its performance based on inputs such as processor temperature. The End As the popularity in crypto rose, so too did its abuse. The fatal blows came quickly: Major browsers started blocking crypto-mining websites, Google and the App Store banned mining apps, crypto-related ads became prohibited, and the list goes on. The existing infrastructure collapsed by March 2019. We made the decision to move on and redirect our energy elsewhere.
