LC3 Centres across the country are undertaking steps to scale up low carbon solutions in their local communities. They are located in seven of Canada’s largest urban areas:
- Calgary & Edmonton, AB, hosted by the Alberta Ecotrust Foundation, Climate Innovation Fund
- Greater Toronto & Hamilton Area, ON, hosted by the Atmospheric Fund
- Halifax Region, NS, hosted by Halifax Climate Investment, Innovation and Impact Fund
- Montreal Metropolitan Community, QC, hosted by the Greater Montreal Climate Fund
- Ottawa, ON, hosted by the Ottawa Climate Action Fund
- Metro Vancouver, BC, hosted by the Zero Emissions Innovation Centre
LC3's National Office is hosted in Ottawa.
This initiative was implemented in partnership between the seven local Centres and the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM). LC3 was established through an endowment from the Government of Canada.
