For over 30 years, Carol has helped organizations build the core elements of a talent management strategy. As the Director of Learning and Organization Development for two fortune 50 companies, she has designed a development strategy for all levels of employees, created a listening and action planning process to improve the work environment, and deployed performance management systems. As a Talent Management Consultant she has designed and facilitated management and leadership workshop for 1000s of new managers and leaders. She has served as an executive coach in both the university and corporate settings. And as the need arises, facilitated strategic planning sessions for executive teams. She has effectively consulted in multiple industries and cultures (manufacturing, R&D, sales, service, health care, IT, education) Carol is passionate about researching the current challenges in the workplace, and implementing proven strategies that address those challenges. Her success history includes: • Led the strategy, design, and delivery of development workshops for all levels of leadership – early high potential, 1st time managers, experienced leaders • Created performance management systems, incorporating the factors that create motivation and engagement • Conducted employee opinion research, presented key findings to the c-suite, and translated results into change initiatives • Implemented development strategies including personal development plans, assessments for leadership capabilities, and succession planning processes Carol’s soon to be released book, Joyful Leadership, summarizes core leadership character traits and behaviors that answer the provocative question, “Why would any want to follow you?” The book is full of tips and practical tools to integrate these skills into your leadership practice.
