The Leaders Forum was first organized in 1995, by three prominent medical technology executives to address the societal impact of diabetes. As time went on, the event grew, and shifted in format.
In 2015, the Leaders Forum event, evolved to what it is, today, a HealthTech Showcase. And while proceeds continue to benefit American Diabetes Association, the showcase welcomes all MedTech innovations with novel inventions, ranging from medical devices to health IT. Startups are given
the opportunity to interact with life science and professional community members, while receiving accolades and potentially earning precious startup funding.
The Leaders Forum HealthTech Showcase committee has also grown to over 30 members, and is comprised of healthcare industry executives, consultants, investors and service providers who want to devote a portion of their time and effort to charity.
Now in its 24th season, the Leaders Forum HealthTech Showcase has raised over $5 million dollars for the American Diabetes Association and has played a crucial role in funding local and national research to one day cure diabetes.
