LeadUpIndia, a youth organization formerly known as FilmStay, was initiated by Nikhil Arya and commenced its journey in 2019 with the noble aim of empowering and mentoring the youth of our nation. Working with young minds aged 18-32, LeadUpIndia provides them with the skills and ecosystem needed to flourish in the 21st century. With the grand launch of Project Azad in IIMs, IITs, NITs, and BITS, LeadUpIndia has collaborated and worked with over 200 youths over the past 60 months, providing them with mentorship and guidance, thereby infusing a leadership mindset among students in schools and colleges. With a widespread presence across approximately 20 states in India, LeadUpIndia actively engages with and supports youth, igniting their aspirations and encouraging innovative problem-solving via our cohorts.
Our unique 3D model – ‘Discussion, Deliberation, and Delegation’ – provides a platform for young leaders to engage with critical national issues, spanning the realms of economy, politics, environment, development, and geopolitics. Operating within a cohort-based structure, participants actively discuss and refine their ideas with peers, culminating in the creation of a delegatory document advocating for positive change. This document is then presented directly to relevant Ministers, Secretaries within the Government of India, or officials at state government levels. LeadUpIndia goes beyond supporting discussion; it grants aspiring changemakers the unparalleled opportunity to connect with decision-makers, have their voices heard, and become architects of a brighter future for India.
To date, LeadUpIndia has visited many schools and colleges and interacted with over 5000 youths nationwide. Recently, our efforts have garnered support from several Cabinet Ministers of the Government of India and State Government Ministers, recognizing our commitment to empowering youth towards finding indigenous solutions to significant challenges faced by our nation.
