The Leard Forest Research Node is Citizen Science group based in Maules Creek, New South Wales, Australia.
We conduct community-led research on subjects relevant to the coal-mine afflicted Namoi Valley region. This includes noise and air pollution monitoring, biodiversity surveys, forest tours of the Leard State Forest, Vickery Forest and Leard State Conservation Area, policy analysis, field trips, public presentations and submissions to Government.
We are committed to engaging with the community and capacity building in our host communities, using science and communication.
