The Building Automation Industry is in Crisis! For every 6 workers that are retiring from the BMS industry, only 1 new worker is coming in. Broad policy mandates in jurisdictions across the globe are demanding improved energy and sustainability performance from buildings. Controls are a critical component of meeting these goals, but we simply do not have enough workers to accomplish the task at hand. Not enough good training Training opportunities in the BMS industry have historically been offered exclusively by manufacturers of controls platforms or through in-person training at trade schools or union halls. While these are typically excellent programs, they have proven unable to scale to the levels the industry requires. The solution? LearnBMS.com was developed in 2024 as a platform to help bridge this training gap. We strive to be the most accessible training platform in the industry by helping deliver and manage BMS training at scale.
