Learn With Us Summer Camp

Run by Durham University students, we are an award-winning volunteering initiative that aims to make learning enjoyable and accessible. After the beginning of the pandemic, when children started missing school, what we really wanted to do was to help them stay motivated and engaged with learning. Pupils were losing so much of their education, and we were particularly worried about what summer would look like for underprivileged pupils. The lockdown was making the achievement gap even bigger and at the heart of our mission there was the aim to reduce the risk that pupils in less privileged circumstances would fall behind during the summer.
