Learnest is a Community Interest Company founded in 2018 by a group of like-minded professionals looking to build a better world through the principles of community, solidarity and innovation. Our Board of Directors is made up of five highly talented individuals, with an impressive combined track record of over 40 years’ experience working alongside third sector organisations, charities and communities delivering a range of projects, products and outcomes for marginalised communities. We take a strengths based approach in everything we do, we are tired of the narratives around marginalised communities only being talked about from a point of need. Whilst we acknowledge LGBT+ people have unique needs, and its important organisations exist to respond to those needs, we believe it’s time LGBT+ people were recognised and celebrated for the essential contributions they have to bring to society. We have created our business model with intent, we are guided by our values and it is by design that we do not rely on charitable giving, we are first and foremost, a successful business.
