Learning for the African Child Foundation (LEARNING AFRICAN)

Learning for the African Child Foundation is a nonprofit Organization registered in 2019 with the vision of bridging the gap in providing leadership and capacity development to children from low-income communities in Nigeria. We achieve our mandate using intensive onsite leadership training, one-on-one mentoring, community clubhouses, and several other social interventions in ensuring quality learning, exposure, skill development, and capacity enlargement of the African child. We ensure successful impacts in our project by collaborating with the government, private organizations, civil societies, and individuals. Learning African has directly impacted over 1000 young adults in 7 communities in the southwest and North central geopolitical zones of Nigeria. Learning African operates under 3 major Flagship programs designed to meet the education, leadership, and emotional development of young adults between the ages of 11 and 18. Our Flagship programs are; Learning Young Leaders Academy Global Mentorship Centre Community Development Centre Our Objectives To transform young adults into transformative leaders well equipped to influence change within their communities. To reignite a passion in the hearts of young adults to think about problem-solving, identify problems within their communities, and propose workable solutions to them. To raise a group of young leaders who understand the value of relationships and can leverage those relationships in creating new relationships, and stepping into greater horizons. To cultivate a community of young leaders who are self-aware and have adopted a value system that fosters positive character builds long-term relationships, and encourages growth.
