Welcome to the Data Science LEARNING Group!
Learn Data Science Meetup is a Vancouver-based community of practice for Data Science, Machine Learning and AI. We are a group of volunteers who organize the events and members. Since our meetup started in 2015, the number of our members has grown over 5,000 members.
We run events that are aimed at helping people with an interest in data science and machine learning improve their understanding and skills. Our events are advertised publicly and open to anyone who is interested, attracting a mixture of industry professionals, government and academic researchers, and students.
We hope to create valuable learning experience for our participants, but also to grow the data science community in Vancouver. Data Science is complex, interdisciplinary, and a team-based activity. However, there are many data scientists in Vancouver, who are new to the field, or who work on small teams, or for other reasons don’t have access to a strong community-of-practice at their work or school. We want to fill this gap for the benefit of all data scientists in the Vancouver area.
