LEAT S.p.A. - Globavia Group

In 1962 LEAT started its activity in overhaul, maintenance and upgrade of communication equipment, instrumentation and audio recorders for military avionics applications. Since the beginning, LEAT core business was focused on maintenance, repair and overhaul of avionics equipment and navigation systems in compliance with Aviation Regulations, today EASA Part 145 for civil aircrafts. Keeping a strong focus on its original activity, LEAT current business is represented by design, manufacturing and qualification of avionics equipment and/or systems, new product technology insertion, upgrading or replacement of obsolete equipment, product enhancement. LEAT is also the official service station of FLIR Systems in Italy, providing maintenance, repair and training services to the A/C manufacturers as well as to the end-users. LEAT recently signed an agreement with FLIR Systems to become the official representative and distributor in Italy of FLIR products dedicated to the maritime sector. As an EASA 21J certified company, LEAT is able to design minor and major changes of avionics configuration, interiors and structural repairs on small/large aircrafts with the issue of the official EASA STC. Since August 2010, LEAT is part of the Globavia Group and has been progressively involved in international projects and R&D programs for military and civil applications.
