about the environment and provide materials in line with human and environmental needs.
Respecting the times of nature, we help reduce CO2 emissions and reuse waste from the cork
industry to reintroduce it in the production cycle, creating a new bio-material for garments,
shoes, accessories, and furniture.
LEBIU Means lightness in the Sardinian language, it refers to the technical properties of cork
that are translated into the fabric and also form an emotional connection that represents the
soul of the company. Lebiu is aiming to be a fresh-agile company where materials are
produced free of toxic components and heavy processes. It is just cork and bio-based

Our mission is to provide eco-fabrics for B2B companies, introducing the new applications of
cork waste more ecologically, thanks to bio-based contents in the material and the high
percentage of cork residue.
Our products come from the Stopper Industry leftovers placed in Sardinia providing a much
more animal friendly alternative and a more ethical and democratic fabric that can be used for
plenty of applications.
We came across this idea paying attention to a specific industrial sector which highly
contributes to global warming.
Facing the challenge of reducing pollution in the fashion industry, the second most polluting
activity in the world, responsible for 20% of the global waste of water and 10% of the
greenhouse gas emissions.
