LedgerSwarm is SETL’s Regulated Liability Network (RLN) implementation. It is a technology that enables real time settlement between ledgers. It works with both traditional ledgers and DLT ledgers. LedgerSwarm synchronises ledger updates to achieve transfers of value and assets including tokenised assets and cash. It can be applied within an organisation – say to enable real time payment between branches – or between organisations – for example to settle cross-border, cross currency transactions. LedgerSwarm includes a smart contract framework that orchestrates complex transactions and agreements which include RLN movements between ledgers such as repos or stock loan arrangements.
