LEFA Transportation Services (Pty) Ltd is a dynamic urban mobility startup founded in 2018, which owns the LEFA ride-hailing app. LEFA facilitates passenger transport by connecting passengers in need of transport to registered LEFA drivers offering transport. LEFA seeks to be the most sought after urban mobility company in Namibia and neighbouring markets LEFA was born from a need to provide a safe transportation option for visitors, tourists as well as travellers in the wake of heightened criminal activities in the local public transport services. Robberies in taxis, taking advantage of unsuspecting travellers has doubled over the past 2 years. LEFA guarantees safety by vetting all drivers thoroughly as well as conducting regular safety inspections of vehicles. Registration with the Namibia Tourism Board and possession of a Public Road Carrier Permit are some of the requirements that qualifies drivers to be part of LEFA.
