The Lefkadia valley was founded on the foothills of the Caucasus Mountains, near the town of Krymsk in the Krasnodar region.
The story of the company began in 2007 on 7 hectares of land, abandoned after the announcement of Prohibition. The moderate continental climate, a variety of well-drained soil, the required number of sunny days during a year, the clean air created here the excellent conditions for growing grapes. However, the mild climate there is perfect not only for the production of wine, but it is ideal also for growing vegetables, rice, dairy husbandry, production of soft and semi-firm artisanal cheese, honey and high oleic sunflower oil.
The family business is based on this philosophy of life, which they try to convey to all their customers. Today the farm carries out the complete production cycle: from the cultivation of seeds till the production of vegetables, their packaging and subsequent sale, together with the cheese-making and crop farming.
Total owned farm is 70 hectares of vineyards, 300 hectares of arable land for the cultivation of organic field vegetables, 0.25 hectares of greenhouses for the cultivation of special species-organic vegetables, more than 15 units of modern machinery for cultivation and harvesting of products, certified milk processing plant and cheese production capacity of over 120 tons per year. But anyway the emphasis is based on quality, not on quantity. That is why Nikolaev’s family produces their products in small quantities. There should always be only fresh vegetables, oil, cheese, honey on the customer’s table. All these products must retain its natural rich taste and beneficial properties, derived from the pristine nature of the solar valley.
The first vines were planted in the spring of 2007 - seedlings were imported from the best grape nursery in France. Now we cultivate 23 varieties.
