Legacy Holdings is pioneering a new approach to acquiring and operating niche, essential, family-owned businesses that are critical to the future of U.S. infrastructure—particularly in climate, energy, and industrial services. Our goal is to acquire and operate cash-flow-positive businesses with a target acquisition price of $10M. Unlike traditional private equity, which often prioritizes consolidation, rapid exits, and replacing owners with MBA graduates, we are taking a different approach. We focus on acquiring businesses from owners who haven’t listed their company for sale yet—but who want to remain actively involved, unlock some of the value they’ve built, and position their business for the next generation alongside partners who have firsthand experience running and operating essential, family-owned businesses.
