About Legally Remote, PLLC®
An Elder Law, Estate & Special Needs Planning firm: We can’t predict the future but we can plan for it. Navigating long-term care planning, special needs planning and estate planning can be challenging, ever changing and overwhelming. Getting a customized plan to fit your specific needs is crucial to feeling secure about your future. There is no “one-size fits all” that’s why we’re here to tailor your plan to your circumstance now and wherever life may take you. Special Needs & Disability Planning There are different tools that allow individuals with a disability to preserve assets that will enhance their quality of life while allowing them to remain eligible for needs-based public benefits like Medicaid and SSI. Many families assume that planning is not necessary unless you are wealthy. The reality is it’s even more important if you have a loved one that relies on public benefits, or if you have a loved one that is unable to administer their inheritance for other reasons. If you are a caregiver for someone in your family with special needs or a disability, it is extremely important to think about and plan for the future. We will guide you through the planning process that will secure your loved one’s future and give you peace of mind. Long-Term Care Planning & Elder Care Asset Protection Planning Long-Term Care Planning is focused on the prediction of and preparation for medical needs with advancing age. We assist our clients in attaining the desired degree and comfort of care, but more specifically, we help them prepare for the costs of such medical care. Elder Care Asset Protection Planning (a/k/a Medicaid Planning) is the implementation of planning strategies designed to achieve eligibility for certain need–based government programs including certain Medicaid and Veteran’s Benefits as appropriate. We help our clients legally and ethically obtain government benefits instead of having to spend down their assets to impoverishment.
