LEGYON

The Legionella chip is based on unique DNA technology. The methodology entails finding, in an unbiased manner, specific DNA sequences which are representative of certain characteristics of a micro-organism, such as virulence and pathogenicity. Partners: Vitens (water company), TNO (the Netherlands Organization for Applied Scientific Research) and Streeklaboratorium Kennemerland (the Kennemerland Regional Public Health Laboratory). The objective of LEGYON: * the exploitation, production, sales and distribution of the Legionella chip; * the sublicensing of the Legionella chip in the Netherlands, Europe and the USA; * the development of new applications and products in the field of diagnostics.
