Leidsche Verzekeringen

Leidsche Verzekeringen was a Dutch life insurance company and a subsidiary of Reinsurance Group of America, Incorporated (RGA), one of the global leading providers of life reinsurance and related financial solutions and ranked 223 on the 2023 Fortune 500 list. Leidsche was a provider of insurance solutions, acquiring biometric risk in the consolidating Dutch life insurance market, de-risking non-performing life insurance and pension books. It operated in both the Dutch individual and group life markets and offered transparent and low-cost life insurance products through selected distribution partners. Besides organic growth activities in the individual and group life market, Leidsche’s main focus was on acquiring and integrating run off life portfolios (closed blocks). Leidsche was sold by RGA and management to Goudse Verzekeringen in 2021.
