We are a dynamic and successful 11-18 Academy serving the local community. We have students of all abilities and from a wide variety of backgrounds, all of whom contribute to the richness of our school population. Our curriculum is based around the needs of our students and consists of a rich blend of academic and vocational qualifications, all supported by fantastic learning resources. We are extremely proud of our record to date, of our constantly improving results and of our ‘Good’ Ofsted outcome. We have a clear commitment to the highest of expectations and achievement for all, with an excellent team of committed staff and outstanding facilities. Our ambition is to ensure that all of our students achieve their potential, develop as courteous, confident and capable young people and leave with an education that has fully equipped them to go on to university or the career of their choice. Working with the Leigh Academies Trust, a large multi-academy trust, this is an academy that is committed to ensuring that children achieve well and are given every opportunity to develop a diverse range of skills and abilities that will serve them well in adult life. The Trust provides opportunities for collaboration between both staff and students across the three schools it works with. At a time of flux in education we have a strong belief that schools can no longer exist in isolation and that partnerships of this kind are a way of providing stability, support and innovation.
