Leipzig is the home of one of the oldest universities in continuous operation. Today, Leipzig is a prominent academic hotspot attracting the best talents from all around the globe. Each year, thousands of international guests visit our University, our institutions of higher education and our numerous non-university research institutions, which altogether make up an unusually broad spectrum of notable institutions of arts and sciences in one location. Cooperation in research, teaching, administration, as well as sharing the same infrastructure and outstanding services are in the DNA of the Leipzig Science Network. Our network allows us to improve the visibility of our city with its many outstanding offers to the scientific community. Our network highly values academic freedom and allows us to support our artists and scientists to work creatively and cooperatively. Our network allows us to connect the relevant administrative players enabling us to create a very warm and welcoming atmosphere for any international researcher.
