Lending A Hand was established in 2015 by the directors of PHL. Raised in the lower mainland and currently doing business in this market, our directors wanted a platform through which they could give back using philanthropic initiatives and community efforts. They strongly believe in focusing on charities that support at-risk children & youth in our communities, giving them the best chance at success.
In selecting charities, PHL ensures that they not only align with our values, but also maintain administrative costs of less than 20% so that most funds go towards the cause.
Lending A Hand uses an endowment structure as it is best suited to our long-term goal of sustained giving, while PHL absorbs all administration costs. In addition, all donations to Lending a Hand are eligible for tax receipts.
To further our commitment to the community, the staff at PHL regularly participate in group volunteering opportunities together, as we believe that giving time can be as valuable as giving money.
