PT Len Industri (Persero) is under the coordination of the Ministry of State Enterprises with 100% ownership by the Government of the Republic of Indonesia. Len has developed businesses and products in the electronics sector for industry and infrastructure, and has shown various experiences in the fields of: - Railway transportation systems on various main-lines in Java and Sumatra. - Development of urban transport such as South Sumatra LRT, Jakarta LRT, Jabodebek LRT and Jakarta Soekarno Hatta Airport Skytrain. - Telecommunications infrastructure network that has been stretched both in large cities and remote areas. One of them is the Palapa Ring Middle Package which connects 17 districts of Middle Region of Indonesia, so that people can use the broad band. - Defence electronics for land, sea, and air. Radar, tactical radio, datalink, combat system on bettleships, are some of the best products in the defence business spectrum. - Solar power plants that have been installed almost in all regions of Indonesia. - Broadcasting, for more than 30 years, with hundreds of TV and radio transmitters installed in various regions in Indonesia. Len was founded in 1965 under the name LEN (Lembaga Elektroteknika Nasional). Then it was transformed into a state-owned company (BUMN) in 1991. Since then Len is no longer an extension of the “Lembaga Elektroteknika Nasional”, but has become a professional business entity under the name of PT Len Industri (Persero) or Len.
