Leon Emanuel Blanck‘s design process engages in a dynamic dialogue between material, form, movement and the intricate inner-workings of his mind. Each component within the formative chain represents a logical consequence in a continuous journey of creation. Since 2011 his approach has involved the nuances of anatomy, functionality and movement into tangible mediums of garments, footwear, jewellery and furniture. The results have been a synthesis of conceptual design and purposeful craftsmanship. Drawing inspiration from nature, Leon‘s work incorporates natural lines that give rise to organic shapes, evoking his own universe of creations. An essential facet of Leon‘s creative identity lies in his original approach to pattern-making. Titled ‚ANFRACTUOUS DISTORTION‘, Leon‘s ongoing body of work encapsulates this distinctive methodology, reflecting a complex yet harmonious interplay of elements that define his artistic signature. Over the span of more than a decade, his works have found a home in the most recognized avant-garde stores worldwide. This longevity in the industry speaks to the enduring appeal and innovative spirit embedded in his creations, making a lasting impact on the forefront of design. Leon‘s work also forms part of the permanent exhibition in the Hamburg Museum of Art and Crafts, alongside designers Thom Browne and Rei Kawakubo among others. Popular subculture publications like StyleZeitgeist have written about and celebrated his work, as well as mainstream media outlets such as Welt am Sonntag in Germany. Today, Leon Emanuel Blanck is an integral part of the avant-garde scene of Paris Fashion Week and the niche culture of non-conformist fashion. All garments and accessories are exclusively handcrafted in our atelier in Berlin, Germany. Footwear is handmade in Italy.
