The Firm was established in November 2018 as a result of the spin-off of the Italian regulatory team of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer with whom the partners and senior associates have had a working relationship of more than 20 years. Our team of market-leading regulatory professionals have experience in setting up banks, asset management companies, investment firms, insurance companies as well as financial intermediaries providing regulated services. Notable is the experience of the Firm in advising on matters having a cross-border dimension which renders it ideally positioned to service international clients. Capitalising on the experience of professor Raffaele Lener as liquidator appointed by the Italian resolution authorities for banks and investment firms, the Firm has developed a strong insolvency and restructuring expertise. We work as an independent firm on a collaborative basis with Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer to provide Italian financial regulatory advice to our shared clients.
