Lerumo was founded in 1993 as Information and Logistic Consultancy (ILC) offering services in Defence Engineering and Weapon System Management.
In the 2000’s, using the skills and disciplines from the defence background, the company successfully diversified the offering to the commercial sector and in particular, the telecommunications sector. This resulted in rapid growth into other geographical areas in Africa and the Middle East.
In 2004 the company was rebranded as Lerumo (“spear”).
From 2010 onwards, Lerumo expanded the solution offering to Defence Engineering Services, EAM consulting services and infrastructure build project management where several large roll-out projects were completed throughout the continent.
More recently, Lerumo entered into Field Service Management (FSM) as a service provider and system integrator and have successfully implemented FSM solutions in one of the major players in the telecommunications industry as well as in the vehicle tracking industry.
