An integrated ‘design haus’, Les Folies is a refreshingly new idea in the creative marketplace. More a collective than a company, Les Folies presents a platform for talented design mavericks to create work for niche clients. Originally founded by Jean Moraros and Obeida Sidani, respected and accomplished design ‘sages’, Les Folies strikes a brilliant balance between design perfection and client empathy. Set up in 2011 in Dubai, and operating from Dubai Design District (d3) Les Folies’ vision is to ‘make the world look better’ through design. To help realise this, the best and brightest minds in the business push the boundaries, forming a ‘creative collaborative collective’. Clients, in turn, get bespoke solutions, enjoy exceptionally personalised service, and are involved and inspired at every stage. The process is participatory and dialogue-based, not a one-way street. It’s why Les Folies is very selective about its projects. Everything about Les Folies is sans boundaries. Teams are drawn from multiple disciplines and different countries. Projects segue into each other, from branding, graphics, furniture, digital and interiors. Clients, likewise, include large broadcasters, MNC technology majors, retailers, investment firms and real estate companies. And they originate from all around the world.
