LES Germany

LES, the Licensing Executives Society, is an international association of licensing and technology transfer professionals with more than 10,000 members in nearly 100 countries worldwide. LES Germany is the second largest of the national groups after LES USA/Canada with over 900 members. The objectives and achievements of the German group provide the members with considerable advantages. These include: The handling of economic, financial, technical, legal, fiscal and scientific issues of out- and inlicensing and technology transfer. The practice-oriented exchange of experience and further training as well as the creation of contacts between experts. The organization of specialist seminars and the formation of working groups on current issues of national and international technology transfer. Maintaining contacts with professional and trade associations at home and abroad. Maintenance of relations with foreign sister organizations. Statements to governmental and intergovernmental organizations on current problem areas, in particular draft legislation. Participation in legal, economic and social science studies in the field of licensing and technology transfer. Creation and deepening of professional and personal contacts at conferences, lectures and seminars at home and abroad. Opportunity to participate in studies in working groups and professional events. Publication of the collection of texts "International Legal Basis for Licensing Agreements in Intellectual Property" as well as the LES publication series on technology transfer, in which current and practice-relevant topics are dealt with at irregular intervals.
