LesbianGlobal empowers LBQ+ women by amplifying their voices, advocating for their rights, and advancing economic empowerment. We address the unique challenges they face, including systemic discrimination, economic disparity, and violence, with a focus on bridging funding gaps and prioritizing LBQ+ women in the Global South through data-driven advocacy. LesbianGlobal was established to address critical gaps in visibility, resources, and support for LBQ+ women, particularly in the Global South. Our work is driven by the urgent need to amplify the voices and address the unique challenges faced by LBQ+ women around the world: •Underfunding of Global LBQ+ Activists: Activists advocating for LBQ+ women’s rights remain largely underfunded, leaving vital work incomplete. •Inadequate Allocation of Women’s and LGBT Resources: Existing resources targeted at women or LGBT communities often do not reach LBQ+ women, perpetuating inequality. •Limited Awareness Among Donors and Communities: Many donors and philanthropists are unaware of the systemic discrimination and invisibility faced by LBQ+ women globally. Even within LBQ+ circles, there is insufficient awareness of the needs of our global sisters. •Greater Impact of International Donations: Donations targeted towards LBQ+ women initiatives in under-resourced regions can have a significant impact, creating real change. •Barriers in Accessing Grants: Many underfunded LBQ+ women activists avoid pursuing grants due to bureaucratic hurdles and a legacy of oppression that took root with colonialism. LesbianGlobal exists to bridge these gaps, providing critical support, resources, and advocacy to uplift LBQ+ women globally. LesbianGlobal is proudly trans and non-binary inclusive, ensuring everyone in LBQ+ patriarchal non-conforming relationships have a voice, access to resources, and a place in our movement.
