Knife crime has dramatically risen for the first time in seven years and we want to put a stop to it now. According to figures released by the NHS, the number of admissions for assault with a sharp object in Liverpool was at its highest level in 2017 since 2012. With those aged 20-29 the most likely to be admitted, with 59 admissions in 2016-2017, followed by those aged 30 to 39 with 43 admissions.
We, as a collective of charity groups, influencers and celebrities from the city of Liverpool and beyond are extremely passionate and driven in reducing the current crisis that today’s generation is facing and we believe this can be achieved with the support of Governing bodies.
We believe that by treating knife crime as a public health issue, this will lead to a dramatic impact and have long-term effects in protecting and preventing knife-crime, gun-crime and other anti-social threatening behaviour.
