The Let’s Play Project specialises in the provision of play and leisure opportunities for disabled young people age 5 – 25 years old. We believe in equality of opportunity for all. We strive to create a positive and happy inclusive environment where everyone is valued and achievements are celebrated. Objectives * Providing a supportive environment for play and leisure opportunities in the interest of social welfare for young people and adults with additional needs and/or a disability * Promoting and aiming to increase the range of accessible opportunities and life skills available to young people and adults with additional needs and/or a disability * Encourage and support our Young People to engage in the same activities and opportunities as their peers * Provide a variety of leisure activities to encourage confidence, social skills and overall development of our Young People * Provide advice and training to individuals and organisations who are involved in delivering similar play and leisure activities to a mainstream audience with a view to support them in becoming inclusive to all * Work with other professionals to promote play and leisure activities as an integral part of our Young Peoples care plan Values * INCLUSION – Ensuring that every young person can access their desired play and leisure activity whether at Let’s Play or in the local community * INNOVATION AND CREATION – Always searching for innovative and creative ways to enhance the development of our service users * PASSIONATE AND COMMITTED – Recruit, train and develop a team that are passionate in enabling young people and adults to play * COLLABORATION – Work with the local community, families, local authority and other leisure providers * RESPECT INDIVIDUALITY – Provide positive opportunities that are individual to each and every young person
