Levant Foundation is a European think tank and policy institute that conducts research and advocacy for enabling youth civic engagement in the Middle East and Africa. Aimed at equipping the youth for the challenges of tomorrow, the overarching mission is to encourage youth empowerment and civic participation acknowledging education prosperity as the driving force behind societal transformation and change. Our team is composed of researchers, practitioners, lobbyists, motivated individuals and activists based in Athens, Amsterdam, Palestine and Warsaw and our mission spans over a wide range of areas allowing for a cross-disciplinary approach. These are: Equal chance on education; linchpin of equal, fair and thriving societies; Social awareness; pertinent component of social and emotional learning; Eradication of discrimination by blending inclusiveness and respect into innovative educational practises; Youth empowerment and civic engagement; Deeper understanding of social challenges and collective efforts to mitigate them; Aspiration to impact local societies; Democratisation of information and sharing of knowledge.
