Affordable access to high-quality facilities is a “major barrier to charter school growth and development”. Buildings suitable for school facilities are rare and costly in the private market. This national trend is particularly true in urban markets where charter schools often serve a disproportionate percentage of economically disadvantaged families. LFFF solves a clear gap in the facilities financing market that has not been addressed to date because of the inability to appropriately assess and manage the investment risks.
