LevelUp Academy

When this program started, it was a part-time tutoring center in the back of a clubhouse for lower-income students. Now, it's a full no-cost after-school program, enriching summer school clubs, electronics recycling program, multimedia channels, and a scholarship foundation. Students who attend the program see a full letter-grade increase across the board, have lower rates of truancy and discipline issues, and invest more time in extra-curriculars. We also provide a laboratory and testing grounds for new ideas. For example, our innovative reading program helped kids improve their test scores by an average of two grade levels. Our teacher trainer program has helped launch the careers of our assistant coaches by providing a flexible work schedule, paid internships, and full scholarships. Oh, and we were making NFTs and crypto blockchains before they were cool. With this vision in mind, some of the specific objectives are: -Full-time coaching and managing of students from 5th to 12th grade with a focus on grade recovery. Networking with teachers, parents, and other stakeholders. -Developing paths social services without stigma. For example, having a professional chef visit to provide cooking lessons based on what the local food pantry can provide -Tracking and documenting KPIs for each student while motivating them to be a stakeholder in their own success -Engineering reporting tools for classroom performance and student attendance including a crypto-based reward system for performance -Collaborating with government, commercial, and non-profit groups for special events and urgent need service
