Moosehead Lake, the best togue (lake trout) fishery in Maine as well as Schoodic Lake, a trophy landlocked salmon water, are two of the more popular destinations in the area. Also incredibly possible are the remote ponds in the Appalachian Trail 100-mile wilderness area for some excellent brook trout fly fishing as well as Sebec Lake and Wassookeag Lake for some terrific bass fishing on the Leviathan pontoon boat.
