Empowering Change through Lived Experience | LEx Scotland Hello, LinkedIn community! We are excited to introduce LEx Scotland. Our primary mission is to empower individuals with lived experience of marginalisation, equipping them with the skills and confidence necessary to take on leadership roles and drive transformative change within their communities and society at large. At LEx Scotland, we believe in the power of partnerships. We actively support organisations that seek to collaborate with individuals with lived experience or aspire to cultivate and promote lived experience leadership within their own structures. Over the past 2 years, we have been privileged to work closely with the Scottish Government Lived Experience Advisory Panel for Adult Social Care, delivering co-produced training for members. Additionally, our endeavours have included providing mediation and audience support at graduate show performances at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, supporting community-based and UK-wide organisations to develop Lived Experience strategies, and collaboration with the Open University Centre for Voluntary Leadership. Central to our work is the commitment to amplifying lived experience voices. We strive to ensure that individuals with lived experience have authentic decision-making power in matters that directly impact them. Their perspectives are essential in shaping policies, programs, and initiatives, fostering a more inclusive and equitable society. To ensure accessibility, we operate on a sliding scale for our workshops and consultancy services, tailoring our fees based on the annual turnover of the organisation we collaborate with.
