Founded in 2015, LHC Heritage Planning & Archaeology Inc. (LHC) is a heritage consultancy specializing in heritage planning, archaeology (Stage 1-4), historical research, and strategic planning. Our team of qualified practitioners understands the complexities of cultural heritage resources. With staff offices in Kingston, Toronto and Ottawa, we work with public and private agencies, property owners, developers, and site managers to identify, manage, conserve and mitigate impacts on cultural heritage and archaeological resources. The purpose of heritage conservation should be change management which – when tied closely with other objectives and initiatives such as economic development, land use planning, cultural planning, tourism planning, and public works — can ensure that community values are protected during the process of change. We employ a broad understanding of cultural heritage management and conservation that reflects international, national and provincial best practices and focus on developing practical, sustainable, and meaningful solutions for cultural heritage and archaeological resources.
