Lifelong learning centre ''Libar'' began its development in the field of education in the year 2002 in Šibenik as a public institution. From that moment on, we have been upgrading our business which is held on four locations, Šibenik, Split and Rijeka where we perform the adult education according to the verified programmes given by The Ministry of Science and Education and Ministry of Maritime Affairs, Transport and Infrastructure.
Lifelong learning centre ''Libar'' offers more than 50 verified programmes and more than 60 courses from different areas:
The department of maritime studies: maritime secondary school and STCW courses.
• Programmes of secondary education, retraining and additional occupation training of licensed seaman, marine-engineering technician and an electronic technician.
The Department of Business Administration
• Secondary school education, work qualification training and retraining, improvement training through the programmes for: spokespersons, business secretaries, computer operators, book-keepers and accountants and foreign languages.
The Department for Shipbuilding
•Programmes dealt with in this group relate to qualifications needed in jobs pertaining to shipbuilding.
The Department for Tourism industry and Service:
• Education programmes for acquiring a secondary school level and training programmes to obtain qualifications in professions of a waiter, cook, baker and a pastry maker.
The Department of Construction
• Qualification training in the construction domain.
The Department of Agriculture
• Promotion of sustainable agriculture throughout the education programmes of: olive grower, wine grower, sheep herder, beekeeper and honey producer, milk-cheese producer, gardener, fruit-grower, medicinal herbs grower, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage producer.
We provide, maintain and incessantly upgrade the level of education quality in accordance with Croatian regulations and international conventions.
