Dr Libby Sander is an internationally renowned academic on work and the workplace. She is a leading expert on understanding the future of work, and how we can reimagine work to live more meaningful and creative lives. She is an Agenda Contributor at the World Economic Forum and has spoken at TEDx.
Libby’s articles on her research on the international academic website The Conversation have over 2.5 million readers and have been republished in leading mastheads nationally and internationally including Harvard Business Review, the BBC, Newsweek, ABC, and all major Australian newspapers. She has appeared on ABC TV’s Catalyst featuring her research, Al Jazeera World, Sunrise, ABC News, SBS, The Drum and has been interviewed on numerous international podcasts, including most recently for Forbes Books in the USA.
Libby is regularly featured on radio and in national & international media including for The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, The Financial Times, BBC, The Guardian, ABC, SBS, Channel 7 and 3AW Melbourne commenting on issues on work, the workplace, society & future trends in organisations.
Having worked in over a dozen industries and numerous organisations in multiple front-line and senior management roles prior to her academic job, she has insider knowledge of what really happens on the human side and the organisation side of work.
For over 20 years Libby has been sought out to advise blue-chip multinationals, and to provide executive coaching for CEOs & leadership teams of some of the world’s leading organisations including Lendlease & Microsoft Europe.
Libby earned her PhD in Organisational Behaviour from Griffith University, and also holds a Masters Degree in Human Resource Management, Bachelor of Arts in Japanese and Bachelor of Business also at Griffith University. She is a former State and National Junior Champion in Equestrian.
Libby's multi-disciplinary research spans organisational behaviour, neuroscience, architecture & psychology.
