Since it was originally established, Liberty Engineering has always been an electronic and electro-mechanical contract manufacturing company. It offers customers full service contract manufacturing support, including assembly only (consignment projects) as well as full turn-key support (purchase of all components plus assembly). Liberty Engineering provides assembly capability for through-hole and surface-mount electronic designs, as well as cable build and mechanical assembly. Electronic assembly capabilities include prototype, quick turn orders as well as low-to-medium volume production. Technical assembly capabilities include assembly of BGA, LGA, and QFN style components and passive components down to 0201 size on both manual and automatic placement equipment. X-Ray inspection is provided for BGA and LGA component assembly. Additionally, the company offers functional testing services allowing for ship-to-stock completed product support and can provide field service repair capability for any completed products shipped. The company operates in a 15,000 square foot facility in Newton, Massachusetts which it has occupied since 1996. It employs approximately 25 people with 7 people in administrative or material support and the balance as direct assembly or test personnel. The company currently has over 30 active customers, including medical device companies, industrial equipment manufacturers, and commercial OEM companies. It does not provide any manufacturing support to consumer grade product companies. It has a very strong reputation among its customer base for consistent excellent quality of product support and responsive service.
