Lichfield Bridge Builders

The Lichfield Bridge Builders is a charitable organisation that bridges the gap between young people and industry. Utilising those whose working lives are, or have been, based in industry, commerce, institutions, self-employment and many other work-based environments, the Bridge Builders, set up in 2016, focuses on delivering employability workshops and mock interviews for secondary school students (years 10 to 13) in Lichfield, Staffordshire and the surrounding areas. The volunteers are positioned to pass on their experience and knowledge to the students, increasing their self-confidence and preparing them for life after school. Between 12 and 15 sessions are currently delivered to about 8 schools through each academic year. To date over 1500 students have benefitted from this group each year through the support of around 80 volunteers.
