Starting out as a one-man band in 1988, Graham Liddell originally focused on contract welding and machinery maintenance. As the workload grew Liddell’s eventually became an incorporated company in 1992. Notable projects at the time included the Otira Viaduct, Candy's Bend upgrade and Cass Bridge.
Graham has always had a passion for civil structures, and as the company grew Liddell's diversified to become one of the South Island's most capable contracting companies; working on a huge range of projects across civil structures and general engineering.
In 2005 Graham's daughter Anna joined the company, starting out in the fabrication workshop and working with the civil construction crew. She's now our operations manager, but 32 years on from where it all started the Liddell family is handing Isaac Group the reins to continue the great work we are known for.
