LIDO 2D 3D started as Lops Drawing Company in 1995. Rob Lops and Folkert Boermans have owned LIDO 2D 3D since 2008 and developed it into what it is today: an advanced drawing company that keeps growing. Our company employs 16 draughtsmen, who all have a practical background in common; some, for example, worked as shipwrights. We know extremely well what we create and understand what our clients need. We combine this practical basis with a large curiosity for new drawing techniques and equipment. OUR CRAFT LIDO 2D 3D offers high-quality draughtsmanship to yacht builders all over the world. We specialize in detailed production drawings for luxury yachts, in 2D and/or 3D. But also companies outside of the maritime sector know where to find us and they value us. INTERIOR DESIGN DRAWING We transform the design of a client into a drawing that the interior builder can use to set to work. The 2D or 3D drawings are of great value in detail engineering. CONSTRUCTION DRAWING The construction drawings are aimed at production and reflect how the ship’s construction, the interior, the piping system and other techniques come together. High quality engineering and high quality construction drawing go hand in hand. 3D LASER SCANNER Unique in yacht building! It is important to have a very detailed design of the ship, because we create most interior drawings in 3D. Our 3D scanner is able to map out the ship accurately to the millimetre. PHOTOREALISTIC RENDERING Photorealistic rendering is an artist’s impression which gives the client a good picture of what the design will look like when it is finished. WHAT WE REPRESENT We are fond of craftsmanship and are very much into gadgets and techniques. We know a lot about boats, equipment, interior construction, ship carpentry and construction work.
