Lief

Lief set out to solve the childcare undersupply crisis by leveraging the efficiencies of shared care and technology to match like-minded families and place quality, trained providers in the home. Our model put the provider at the center, offering full employment and benefits not typically offered through traditional nanny contracts with more autonomy and smaller ratios than a daycare center. We believe that by providing more parents access to childcare we can improve the strain that lack of childcare places on the workforce, especially the strain on working mothers. In Spring of 2021 Lief shutdown, and we wrote about our experience on medium. We were funded by MIT, Dartmouth, Libra Future Fund, and Maine Technology Institute we are launching in Portland Maine.
