Founded in 1992, Vinelink International is independent of any public or private interests, and fully committed to the technological evolution of the wine - sector Status Observateur Organisation Internationale de la Vigne et du Vin OIV Président: Peter Hayes Vice Président: Jean Pierre Megnin - Miche Boulay - Carlo De Biasi ONE MISSION: To promote innovation and technological cooperation in the Wine Sector TWO COLLEGES of members: A, Wine Professionals College (P), and B, College of Public Research Scientists (S) THREE MAJOR MODES of ACTION: • Worldwide Consultation of the wine-sector (annual, involving P and S); on high priorities themes for directing the effort of the wine-sector • Scientific Conference (annual), most of the time to report and analyze the results of the Wine-sector Consultation . • Research Programs (P and S), to organize collaborative actions on high priority themes to the final benefit of the wine-sector PRINCIPLES and RESOLUTIONSIn a highly fragmented worldwide profession, our effort is to contribute to the technological information of the sector and the consolidation of international forces of innovation that comprise: • Cooperation organized between all segments of the industry: growers, suppliers, manufacturers ... with scientific research centers; • Wide Knowledge Transfer in the wine-industry: surveys and conferences; • Identifying, framing (outline) and promotion of research programs for the profession as a whole. -Our means of action is collective , entirely assumed by the members themselves . In that respect our aptitude on the international scale results mainly of their respective contributions in the world .
