Life Jacket Solutions (LJS) was founded in 2012 by CEO David Lee as the result of a tragic drowning incident of a family friend. After this tragedy David began to research water safety and his findings revealed a rising epidemic of accidental drownings. Through his study, David came to learn that drownings were the fourth leading cause of accidental death in the United States. David has made it the mission of LJS to promote on the water safety and life jacket awareness by designing safe and FUN life jackets that inspire both adults and children to want to wear life jackets and to be safe on the water.
LJS develops and markets innovative life jacket concepts including major licensed products and exclusive proprietary products based on two patents the Company has named the “Buff Bod” and the “Jersey Jacket”. LJS has a number of other products in various stages of development and in the patent process.
LJS currently holds exclusive distribution of collegiate branded life jackets via partnerships with the CLC, Fermata and Learfield. It is the company’s desire that families and water sport enthusiasts will enjoy supporting their alma mater or favorite collegiate team while promoting proper water safety.
