Life Map Planners

Life Map Planners is a programme that is in direct response to the growing number of young people that are both falling through the cracks at school and offers at-risk children and young people the opportunity to make a dramatic change in their lives. The mission of Life Map Planners is the pursuit of the following principles:  Commitment Life Map Planners wants to inspire pro-social friendships, strong interpersonal skills, and instil a sense of hope in the future.  Responsibility The focus of Life Map Planners is to empower young people in establishing goals and following through on commitments.  Possibility Life Map Planners wants to expand the perspective of young people to make them aware of life's possibilities.  Support An individual is dramatically influenced by their support system. Life Map Planners wants to surround young people in a caring, inclusive learning environment. Aim Our aim is to serve children and young people from disadvantaged communities Pan Wales offering innovative projects that span the field of education, employment, mental health, juvenile and social justice. We deal with such critical issues as child poverty, delinquency, delayed education, homelessness and unemployment. Life Map Planners Objectives are: To act as a resource for young people in disadvantaged communities within Wales by providing advice and assistance and organising programmes of physical, educational and other activities as a means of: (a) Advancing in life and helping young people by developing their skills, capacities and capabilities to enable them to participate in society as independent, mature, and responsible individuals; (b) Advancing education; (c) Relieving unemployment; (d) providing recreational and leisure time activity in the interests of social welfare for people living in the area of benefit.
