Lifelong Learning UK (LLUK) was the independent employer-led sector skills council responsible for the professional development of those working in career guidance, community learning and development, further education, higher education, libraries, archives and information services, and work based learning across the UK. LLUK closed on 31st March 2011 and some of its functions transferred to the Learning and Skills Improvement Service (LSIS) and IfL.
